Our
Story
We are Dean and Stephanie Poignant, owners of Poignant Imagery. Our studio is conveniently situated a short drive north of Peoria. We provide fine art portraits, family and group photography, aerial shots, and landscape photography, and we enjoy working directly with clients to bring their ideas to life.
The rural property where we work is beautiful throughout the year and offers excellent settings for outdoor sessions. Spring features blooming flowers and fresh growth in the gardens and wooded areas. Summer provides bright, lively scenes around the lake and open fields. Fall displays striking colors in the trees and prairie grass. Winter presents a tranquil landscape with snow covering the grounds and lake. In addition, we maintain a well-equipped indoor studio with professional lighting and backgrounds to create a wide variety of creative scenes. We are also available to travel for offsite sessions.
We bring together our complementary skills to deliver a full selection of photography services. Stephanie specializes in family and group photography with a passion for natural light that highlights authentic moments and connections. Dean focuses on fine art portraiture in both studio and outdoor settings, group shoots, and aerial drone photography as an FAA certified drone pilot. Dean is also a photography instructor who teaches students from basic levels through advanced techniques. Together, these strengths enable us to offer artistic portraiture, high school senior portraits, group sessions for dance, sports, and schools, family sessions, and fine art landscape work.
